A Story of Passion & Purpose

Founded in 2018, Devoted Arts is more than a business—it’s a reflection of love, creativity, and perseverance.

The name Devoted Arts holds a special meaning to me. It was inspired by “Devotion” by Earth, Wind & Fire, one of my mom’s favorite songs by the legendary group. Coming up with the name was a journey. I first considered Devotion To Art, followed by Devotion of Art. Both names held meaning, but neither felt quite right. After some thought, I landed on Devoted Arts—a name that represents my passion, dedication, and commitment to the arts.

My artwork primarily focuses on Black beauty, Black love, and mental health. Through expressive portraiture, vibrant colors, and meaningful imagery, I celebrate the beauty and individuality of Black people, explore the power of love and connection, and use art to express the complexities of mental and emotional well-being. My work reflects both my personal journey and my desire to create meaningful conversations, challenge mental health stigma, and encourage greater representation in the creative world.

Devoted Arts was created to promote inclusivity and diversity in the arts, providing a space where different perspectives, experiences, and stories can be celebrated. My vision is to one day grow Devoted Arts into an art agency, art center, and museum—spaces where creativity can thrive and artists from all backgrounds feel encouraged to express themselves and share their stories.

I believe art has the power to connect, heal, inspire, and transform. Through Devoted Arts, I hope to celebrate Black culture, encourage conversations about mental health, and inspire others to embrace their creativity, believe in their ideas, and share their unique stories with the world.
